Biblical Beauty

Biblical Beauty, originally uploaded by Asillem (Mellisa).

Another photo taken from my outing, with Marlene, this past Saturday. Regardless of religious beliefs (or disbeliefs), the Notre Dame Basilica on Sussex is a sight to behold. It is absolutely stunning inside and out. Unfortunately, most of my indoor photos didn't turn out but no worries .... it just means I have to go back! (ooohhh Marleeeeeene lol)

Urban Tranquility

Urban Tranquility, originally uploaded by Asillem (Mellisa).

I spent the day Saturday with Marlene visiting a few places in Ottawa. The first place we went to was the beautiful Notre Dame Catherdral on Sussex Dr. Religious or not, it is a sight to behold.

This photo was taken in a park on Wellington and Bay St. Its a piece of solice on the middle of this bustling city. Funny thing is ... I now see it for it's beauty rather than the swimming structure I used it for many years ago.

On a side note ... this entry officially turns my blog into a photography and scrapbooking blog rather than just a scrapbooking blog. Looks like the updates will be closer together now. :-)

This photo was taken during a Winterlude Flickr meet. A gentleman sitting about 6 seats away took this and I had no clue that he had until it was posted on the flickr site. I have no idea what I was thinking about - or even if it was anything all that profound - but it was obvious that my thoughts that were happy ones. My goal for this layout was simplicity. It's not 100% as I invisioned it but I am pleased with the results. Photo credit go to Total Photo. Thanks, Leon.
(thanks to my super quick scan while at work today, I managed to cut off part of the 'N' as well as the black cardstock around the edges .... but you get the point.)

On a side note ... Happy 4th Birthday to my sweetest nephew, Connor.
Love you, buddy!
