It's been three years since I gathered my fruit salad for photos. (fruit salad = nieces and nephews. there is a story behind how they became that to me and why each group of sweetness is the fruit they are). I started with my Apples over March Break. With the weather so wonderful, it was hard to pass up an outing with the camera. Fortunately, Megan, Jessica and Brianna were all ready for a day of fun, photography and the antics of their crazy Aunt Lola. (Aunt Lola = another story. we have lots of 'em). Now if only the skies were more blue and the grass was greener .... but I am definitely not complaining. We had a great day and a wonderful time together. Here are a few unedited photos. I want to do some editing in photoshop but have no clue where to start to achieve what I want so, for now, here are a few of the 340-something photos I took during our time together. A couple blurry, a blemish here and there ... but nothing short of special (to me) none-the-less.
On a creative note, I went to the Scrapbox last Friday for of evening of creative fun with
Stéphanie. I had this idea to do a canvas using acrylic paints and utilizing what I learned when I took Donna Downey's class a year ago. What does that translate to? Why drippage, of course. I got the 40x16 canvas painted but want to teak my colours and layers a bit. I also made 4 flowers our of canvas but alas ... I didn't love them so today, during another day of creating with friends, I made more handmade flowers. More time consuming than I anticipated, I only got a few done but can I just say "satin & silk + glimmer mist = love, love love" I can't wait to make some more tomorrow. Hopefully I will finish the canvas in the next few days so I can share soon.
Happy Sunday.
Very quick and simple. I used my Slice cut out the butterflies & the Cuttlebug to emboss them. Easy peasy.
{note - they look different (and better) in real life}
Seriously? Three days full of yummy goodness??? First the stampin' up catalogue .. (creating quite the wish list) Then I got my iPhone... (which i *heart* big time. anyone with app suggestions, I will gladly take them, pls and and thx) Then - - - are you ready - - - I see the that they have released the Eclipse trailer. --> insert high pitched squealing voice here <-- I am now booked June 29th and 30th with my work girls. (the release date is the 30th but they always have a midnight showing so I have to be available!) Just one more reason for us to be excited about the end of June. Can't wait!
(Hmmm - I wonder if there is a twilight app ... i must check that out! lol)
ETA - just uploaded the Twilight: The Movie Game, Scene It: Twilight and the Twilight Saga Movie Tracker. Ahh the life of a junkie...
FINALLY!! I have the phone of my dreams .... and I am in love. I am hooked and I am in love. I am addicted and hooked and in love. *sigh* It is so shiny and pretty. With this post I now state my disclaimer that, if I seem lost or unable to be found, please know that I am safe and am merely in a quiet, secluded place playing with this wonderful new gadget and exploring app after app after app. I guess that means that the ATCs will be shared in a day or two then, eh? But dont worry ... I already used the iPhone to snap the picture! OHHHHH i am in loves.
It's been a long time since I have been a
Stampin' Up demonstrator. It has also been a long time since I have looked at one of their catalogues. Have you seen it lately?? yummy-licious.
A friend/colleague/neighbour is a demonstrator. She mostly does it for the discount factor. Seriously though ... how can she just stop? I am already over a hundred dollars on my wish list and I havent looked at more than a few pages. Hmmm .... maybe a party is in order. Afterall, it is sell-a-bration time. Okay .. maybe not but a catalogue party .. let me know if you are interested. That is something I can wrap my head around.
In the meantime, I made 10 more ATCs (one series, 10 cards) I will take a photo and post them later today.
